BURDA Nadiia – professor of the institution of higher education, Department of Pharmacognosy and Nutritiology, doctor of pharmaceutical sciences, professor.

In 2008, she graduated from the National Pharmaceutical University, majoring in “Pharmacy”, and qualified as a pharmacist. In 2009, she graduated from the Master’s degree at the National Pharmaceutical University, majoring in “Pharmacy”, and received the qualification of Master of Pharmacy. She continued her professional activity at the Department of Chemistry of Natural Compounds in the positions of: senior laboratory assistant (2009-2011), assistant (2011-2016), associate professor (2016-2018), senior teacher (2018-2019). At the Department of Chemistry of Natural Compounds and Nutritiology: associate professor (2019-2021), professor (2021-2023). Since 2023, a professor at the higher education institution of the Department of Pharmacognosy and Nutritiology.
In 2011, she defended her thesis for the degree of candidate of pharmaceutical sciences, specialty 15.00.02 – “Pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosy” on the topic: “Pharmacognostic study of Filipendula ulmaria (L.) Maxim.”.
In 2018, she defended her thesis for the degree of Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the same specialty on the topic: “Scientific and theoretical approaches to the development and research on urological and proctological medicinal herbal products”.
In 2018, she received the academic title of associate professor, in 2021 – the academic title of professor.

Scientific directions include pharmacognostic study of plant raw materials of domestic and foreign flora; development of projects of pharmacopoeial monographs on plant raw materials for inclusion in the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine; development of medicines based on natural raw materials. She took part in the development of the national monograph of State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine and medicinal products based on plant raw materials.
Author and co-author of more than 190 publications of a scientific and educational and methodological nature (including those included in the international scientometric databases Scopus and Web of Science).

Under the supervision of 2 dissertations in the specialty “226 Pharmacy, industrial pharmacy” for obtaining the scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy.

Member of the editorial boards of the journals “Annals of the Mechnikov Institute”, “Phytotherapy. Journal”, “News of Pharmacy”, “Open Access Journal of Pharmaceutical Research”. Secretary of the Expert Problem Commission of the National Pharmaceutical University, member of the Academic Integrity Committee of the National Pharmaceutical University, responsible for ensuring the activities of one-time specialized scientific councils of the National Pharmaceutical University.
Member of Kharkiv Regional Association of Pharmaceutical Workers, All-Ukrainian Public Organization “Association of Specialists in Folk and Non-Traditional Medicine of Ukraine”.
